Loralee

Dental Assistant

Loralee has been involved with the dental profession for 39 years. After graduating from Ferris State University's dental assisting school in 1972 she immediately went to work in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Her responsibilities covered both assisting and office management for two different Dentists and she worked continuously for 25 years.

Since 1998 she has been working for a restorative dentist in Portland, Michigan who specializes in Bioesthetic Dentistry. She has been involved with assisting some of the most complex cases being treated in this cutting edge modality. Additionally, she has undergone extensive treatment for her own dental and bite-related problems and this journey has given her a great deal of empathy for our patients.

Loralee is passionate about Bioesthetics, but can also assist the other dentistry that is done on a daily basis in our office. Although she works for us on a part time basis, Loralee's assisting skills, personal dental experience, and fun loving personality add a lot to our team. She commutes to our practice from Portland, Michigan where she is also a dental assistant for her husband, renowned Bioesthetic dentist Dr. Barry Hilligan. She owns and operates a seasonal ice cream shop in Portland, enjoys photography as a hobby, and tries to keep up with their three lively dogs.
